DVX100b no longer w/ Barry Green Book & software?

Last night I took the plunge and bought a DVX100b from B&H to replace my Sony pd150. One of the selling points for the camera was the $400 discount plus the book/DVD from Barry Green and the Magic Bullet Editors 2 software. After I bought the cam, I tooked a little closer at B&H's listing a noticed the mention of the book/DVD and software were missing. SO I called them back, and spoke to another salesman who said that he thought Panasonic had recently changed their discount and they (Panasonic) were to send those items rather than B&H.
So, I checked the listing of places like EVS and notice no one seems to mention book/DVD and software. Some sites give you a link to a page on Panasonic's site

that mentions the book/DVD and software, but then they advise you click on another link for the full terms and conditions. Best that I can tell, those terms only mention the $400 discount, not Barry Green's book/DVD and the software.
So, I was wondering if I'm missing something or if the discount works differently now with regards to the book/DVD and software, or if they're just not part of the deal anymore.

I ordered my camera last week and I made it a point to ask the salesman if it came with the DVD/Book and the magic Bullet and he said yes. If it comes in the same box, that's another story, now you got me thinking if I have to wait....
 
If you look inside the box of DVX100B you will find a Thank you note from Pansonic for your purchase. It mentions a website that you should go to and register your camera. Following that action you will be sent the book and the DVD.

Don't worry, i also purchased my dvx100b from b&h about 3-4 weeks ago, nobody mention the dvx book and it wasn't in the box that the camera came with,
so decided to buy one, but about 2 weeks later it came in the mail, with a thank you letter from panasonic,
lucky i didn't buy the book on my own, but i brought magic bullet, so i have the dvx book and the dvd with 2 copy of magic bullet editor 2, one unopened.....
 
One more thing. Someone on the forum had said that the magic bullet software that is included with the panasonic is only a 'demo version' Is that true, I sure hope not!

no it's not a demo
 
whoever said that probably meant that its just the filmlook filters (Magic Bullet Editors Edition) ... not the version of MB that comes with flimlook features AND frame rate conversion filters ... BUT you don't need that because your camera shoots different frame rates so that software would be redundant.
 
Correct that it won't be IN THE BOX, but you're still entitled to those items for free. Instead of bundling the items in the box, Panasonic now includes a thank-you letter that tells you how to register for them.

So you still get the free items, just in a different way.

Thinking about selling that second copy of MB?
 
just be prepared to wait for the book and software. i've been waiting for two months. evidently they have some kind of delay on shipping those items. a virtue.
 
All I did was register for my rebate and they sent me the book and software within a couple of weeks. Also, I just purchased the dvx100b about a month ago.

I bought my DVX two weeks ago and registered for my Panasonic rebate online. I got my book and software last Friday! Boy are they quick! I called Panasonic to see if I should also mail in my rebate, but they said that doing it online is all I need to do. They told me they had my rebate registration and my check is being processed.

Contact me off list, and lets figure out which crack you fell through. You should have your book by now. Please also have the serial number, model number and the dealer info in your message to me.

There should have been in the box a letter thanking you for your purchase and telling you to register for the book and Magic Bullet.

So, is the $400 rebate no longer offered? I've combed through all the paperwork in the box, looked through the website, but can't find anything about it.
