Editing 1080 24pa in FCP success stories?

Read the pdf of FCP 5.1. Seems to imply that you can edit 1080 24pa without going to cinema tools. Has anyone tried this? Seems people on this and other boards have had no success. Whats the deal ?

Yes I'd like to know as well - starting a few productions soon and woul dlike to know if they're going to be 720P or 1080P

The deal is that post production support has to catch up the cameras.

It has ALWAYS been like that. You think the early adopters of HDV had it any different?no.

Does it suck, sure does, but it will come with patience. Not like people can really view 1080P right now anyway...
