Cheapest Place to buy

Okay, so I am ready for the plunge. I am out of debt and ready to jump back in. I sold My XL1s's and ready to get something better :) I have done hours upon hours on comparrisions and statistics, and have clearly come to the conclussion that the HVX is for me and my company. Of course I with the high price for storage I want to get the Camera for as cheap as possible, and with a US warranty, not in Japanese :) So Tell me how much you got yours and where? Anything you regret? Have you checked your warranty and made sure the serial # is good with the US?

There are a number of vendors who frequent this site and just doing a quick search will reveal all kinds of pricing information. There are considerations other than price in pro equipment. Yes, we all want the best price. But if buying from your local pro dealer is beneficial to your business from the point of view of networking as well as other support, than it is worth possibly (and only possibly) paying more. Do you need the support that a pro dealer can provide or are you comfortable with just buying a box from a box-house like B&H? Of course, availability is a major factor. But if your sole criterion is price, you may end up finding that the lowest price might not be your best deal. Out of debt??? Don't rub it in ;)

You'll see places advertising it for extremly low prices but they'll charge you $300 for a power supply or force you to purchase a warranty for $600. Basically everybody is charging about the same price (between $5400 and $5999).

Get it from someplace you trust and make sure they include Barry Book (whenever it's finished :)

I bought mine from Fletcher's In Chicago. It would have cost me the same to buy it from my Local store (EVS) but they didn't have it in stock.
 
Prices run as low as $5399 and as high as $5995.00.

Not much available in discounts on a short supply popular cam.

Just buy Panasonic authorized.
 
There is a place down the Street from me that is selling for $5300.00 and I found them, on the Panasonic website... Cvesco.com I think... Do you think they are holding an ace up their sleeves to make me buy a warranty or a power cord?

Okay so I am doing the BH deal. Is it hard to learn the P2 system? When you shoot DV I am sure the quality is better than most DV because of the sorce right? Like shoot DV using an XL1s and then a HVX, DV will look better? Oh man so many questions.... :)

you need to give B&H a special code to get that price....$5745

NAB06001 is the magic code for HVX

there is one for Canon XH1 - $7500 effective price
one for JVC $4950

i posted the codes in the respective forums...

The one I had was for two 4GB cards, an extra 6500 battery, and the camera.
 
Well I DID IT!!!! I just finished giving them my American Express and they are charginging me :) 5,792 after shipping aint bad.... I tried to get tehm to hook me up with an upgrade on the bag to the Petrol. :) They would not budge. :) Not the anxziety kicks in while I wait and wait and wait, Said it could be up to like 6 Weeks, then you have 1 week shipping.. man...

There is no link, it is a secret kind of promo :) call them and tell them you have a code and then give it to them.. it is real trust us. I just paid for mine today.

Just did mine yesterday. They were thorough and helpful. Already been working on an older PB15 editing full HD and the stuff is sweet!
 
I dont know about thourough but they took my code and told me how much and what it came with and then transfered me to the billing department. Took me about 5 mins and I was 5800 poorer.
