Here it is guys... My first footage! Prepare to be underwhelmed...

I while back I made a thread with some screencaps from the first wedding I shot. Well, I was finally able to start editing that footage again and I whipped together a real quick "reel" from the wedding to show you guys. Heck, I'm only actually using footage from the first tape... I have another 2 or 3 tapes worth of stuff. :)

But really, I put this together in about 10 minutes so the editing is nothing special. Let me know what you guys think of the footage itself. It's about 60MB and is currently uploading to my webspace so give it a few more minutes.

Rip me apart guys!

Edit: It's uploaded. Download away!

hey, did you change any internal settings or was that pretty much out of the box? Beautiful colors.... and your avatar still freaks me out.

My scene file setting changes, off the top of my head:

Detail Level: -2
Chroma Level: +3
Master Ped: -5
Gamma: Cinelike
Matrix: Norm

Shot 24pA, 1/48th shutter speed.

I think that's about right.

Edit: That footage wasn't color corrected, btw.

This cant be DVX footage, this is HVX footage right? If this is DVX this must be the cleanest footage from it I have ever seen. Mine never looks that amazing. And how did you do the slowmo at the end? If this was shot on HVX then obviously 60p but on the DVX how??? Looks great, very crisp. Great colors! I was wondering, can you please tell me how you compressed that video for web? When ever I do a .mov the quality is nowhere near that and always about double in file size. (I'm using Vegas by the way.)

Thanks for the kind words buddy.

Without a doubt, I'm not using an HVX. I wish. :) Everything was shot 24pA... Slow machine was achieved by just bringing it down to .75 of it's original speed. As long as you only do it on a scene that doesn't have too much quick movement, you'll be fine. (Not sure who I got that tip from but it was somebody here.)

Scene file settings are above, btw. I haven't done any color correcting on the footage yet so it's not quite up to par.

I use Vegas too... I'll post the settings a bit later but the file is almost 60 megs for 60 seconds so that sort of explains it. It's a large file. :)

I'll post some more stuff this week. Once again, thanks for the kind words.
