READ THIS BEFORE BUYING A DVX100a

no, I mean for a stor/site to purchase a dvx. The site is zoommania.com and has a retail store out of Philly. They seem quite reputable but I'm just interested if anybody has shopped from them before, feedback etc. Thanks

People People People, please do yourself a favor and us, just spend the $50-100 more and go to a real reputable Panasonic dealer and get it there. No headaches if you need service they will handle it. period....

Happy Holidays!

Regarding the Rebate - I purchased - this weekend - the DVX100a - they were unloading the last few in stock - Dealer (authorized Panasonic Dealer in MD) said I have to apply for rebate on line - BUT I can't seem to find where to do that anywhere on their site (lots of talk about the rebate in press releases - but no actual fill in your serial number and get your cash back forms.

Does anyone have the link to apply for the rebate?

Also the box did NOT come with DVX book or Magic Bullet - it was their demo model they've had in stock for a few months. Will panasonic offer this still?

Thanks for your help - New to this forum. Andy Field - FieldVision Productions

Hello all! I just found this site and just paid Digital Liquidators $1600 this evening for a DVX100A (online order). After looking at the resellerratings.com site and finding the feedback re this store are so negative, I feel ill.

Beware of Digital Liquidators. A friend of mine went to buy a DVX-100a from them for a crazy price of $1700. When he called to order they told him he need to buy all this extra stuff because the $1700 was just for the chassis and not the entire camera. I believe he ended up buying it from B&H.

Excellent ratings at resellersrathing.com check them out!! DVX 110B for 3150 after rebates!! Amazing and they are highly rated!

I so could have used this info before i bought mine last year. Totally got hosed by one of those electronics places that list one price and then 'sell you an entire package' for far more. While it wasn't gray market, they had sold the camera and used the rebate to justify the low cost. Don't use 'Broadway Photo' in Brooklyn, NY.

I've been reading this site for the past 2 weeks and I am learning so much. And this thread is very informative before I purchase my DVX. Just want to thank the site and all its members for the all this information. So far, I think I'm going to go with EVS. Still deciding on HVX or DVX and saving up some mula.

It was great to see all the info on the Brooklyn stores that are all scams. I've lived in Brooklyn for over 20 years and I always found those stores fishy. I never bought anything from those stores, but I have been inside them. And everytime I go in, it just doesn't feel right. Everyone seems shady and the prices are sometimes too good to be true. Plus a lot of these stores put up ads in neighborhood weekly papers and right away it looks fishy. I don't know how to explain it, but when you have that gut feeling it's fishy, it most likely is so.

One more thing, has anyone bought stuff from J&R in NYC? Now, that stores is quite popular, but sometimes, I find that store to be a bit fishy too. Anyone have any info about them?
