This is a MUST SEE, New Trailer shot on DVX

lol

Actually, my corporation is: Pimp Daddy Development, Inc.

As for the color correction.... none at all.... I lightened it up a bit for the online broadcast. The DVX takes in nice color naturally... however, we are looking forward to a pro color adjustment and sound mix. The movie screens very well at the festivals, but any film buff can see that it's still rough. Looks much better in the theatre than on the internet.

Indie all the way....

M.O.G. is screening:
October 8th 2006 at:
Mann's Chinese Theatre Complex, Hollywood.
8:30 p.m.
FAIF International Film Festival

This movie shot on DVX100a / edited on PPRO 1.5

Big laughs, Intense flic, great time guaranteed for all!

Pretty good job, something that i would definitely enjoy watching all of. Definitely gives off that kevin smith indie, bunch of guys sitting around being a bunch of guys feel.

So how did the production heads and crew take it about you asking for new actors?

(someone takes epsilonbass to the side, whispers in his ear, and then slaps him in the head. Epsilonbass trots back)

Oh it was sarcasm?

I know you will probably hit me back with the, 'oh its about the movie, I'm not trying to be flashy and what not' response. But it must be said.... What the heck is up with your web site?

I am really trying to be constructive with this, as a big part of selling the movie is having a presentable website. At this point i would suggest dropping it, and provide all your information via myspace. Or atleast ask ten of your friends if they can make a website. One out of the ten should be able to hook you up better than that.

Not only is this a bad web site now, This was a bad web site in 1995. I mean, logos made in paint... papyrus font.... ANIMATED GIFS...????? The only thing missing are bad midis you can't stop when you load a web page.

Haha, sorry to seem that I'm ragging on you, but i'm saying this out of love. Good luck at the festivals, if it's ever playing around the north east let me know.

EDIT: NO NO NO, you do have the midis, gosh darnit.

Yeah, the web site doesn't look like all the other super clean flash websites out there.... (for a reason) It's simple and has the "poor man's look" has to the do with the subject matter of the film. Less is more.... but in our case we almost have nothing. The site is a very simple tool to get the trailer posted.

Glad you like the trailer. It is what it is... story of 4 guys growing up in L.A. This is not "Gone With the Wind" or "Titanic" But it is one of the funniest Indy films out there today.

Sorry Draccon it didn't please you to no end. Funny, after reading your negative comments about a simple easy going trailer, you remind me of one of those typical burned out angry filmmakers that spends too much time in the editing room and has seen so many movies that nothing impresses them anymore. Don't stress, this movie was made for people that like to laugh and enjoy life.

I'm just a poor Indy filmmaker sitting on this summer's funniest and
most entertaining Indy film seen in years.

Come on down 10-8th to Mann's Chinese and see for yourself. I always tell people, if they don't love this movie, I'll eat a bug Fear Factor style. Haven't eaten one yet!

"I saw the trailer and I didn't find it particular interesting or funny and neither especially well executed.
Also the website is painful to put it concisely."

If that's not negative, what is?

Had you said, this one scene needs to be tightened up, or the humor wasn't my style, that would have been a little more polite.

I don't expect eveybody to love this work, but it's out there to entertain, not to invoke a negative response.

I didn't see your website or your Indy film posted here as of yet.
Looking forward to it.

Put yourself in the other person's shoes before you say negative things about their work.

Yeah, I know, it's a free country..... but hell, it's just a flic.

pimpdaddy - you really need a new website. i don't say that to be mean or insulting, but the site looks severely outdated. you've obviously spent a lot of time working on this movie, you should have a more professional looking website that conveys that effort.

i like your enthusiasim and wish you the best with your movie.

Hey Ugafan... yeah I know...what can I say? I'm a filmmaker, not a website designer. The website is not our forte. I'm sure one day we'll post a cherry flash design website full of glitz and glam. But for now, this is all we've got. I don't mind though... the trailer is up which is the most important thing for now.... maybe one day our simple little website will be a collectors item.... 30 years from now, we'll be an online classic.....:)
