Need confirmation: We can shoot 25p for HeroFest?

[Aaron Koolen]

There's only mention of 24p in the contest rules. I assume 25p is OK too for us PALers?

Can I have confirmation from Jarred or Barry S?

Cheers

In my research it seems that the film has to be delivered 24p. It sucks I know but I think it's mainly because you might end up on a DVD.

Thing is you can either just render out at 24p at the end and let your software mangle it (It will be for web so no biggie really). Or get some software to change it. I think on the Mac, Cinema tools will conform a 25p to 24p which basically just changes the internal timing rate in the file so it plays back slower. It also adjusts the audio which is nice. Dunno what I'm gonna do yet though.
