Movie I amde while putting off writing an essay,

Procrastination (and boredom) can produce wonderful pieces of art.

The whole "Under Pressure" thing (no, not the song).

I've said it once, I'll say it again: I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT FALL.

The colors especially.

What's your equipment setup (overall, and for that video)?

I enjoyed its pointlessness and its straightforward use of imagery.

MY TYPE!

I liked it

i like the part near the end where you zoom in on a bunch of stuff... i thought this was funny, idunno why.

I have spent too many hours looking out my window looking at the beautiful leafs. I've been wanting to shoot them for a while, just never got around to it. Finally, instead of writing my essay I got up and did it. The one tree I really wanted to shoot was bare (it had the best red leafs).

Anyway, ive just got a 100a and a crappy tripod. Edited it on Premiere pro 1.5 and added a little magic bullet, and vola!

Ha, fair enough. It was the first time i played with the manual zoom. For some reason i had never taken it off servo control until now. It is a pretty cool effect since you can zoom so fast.

nice video! that cracked me up for some reason. i love how the focusing goes with the beat/mood of the song. cool imagery and the song was perfect, who was it by?

woo! procrastination!

but yea, the vid looked great. yay for random. the colors looked nice, up here in portland it's practically winter already, so we don't have much of the nice fall colors anymore. everything's a sort of grey all the time.

at the start with the shot of the microwave timer i was like, "oh man, please don't show the entire countdown... whew" lol.

Glad you guys liked it! Its another nice day out in syracuse (which is really, really strange. It should be snowing by now!) so I might go exploring and see what i can find to shoot.

Much better than the essay that I wrote when I was supposed to be filming a movie!

Hehe. My essay turned out pretty well - The films Vertigo and Bad Timing use the power of the masculine look as a mode of manipulation for the characters within the diegesis, while simultaneously using the power on the audience viewing the text.

like CMessineo said previously, there was something in the music that made this work. I thought it was excellent. The colors, composition, music, zooms and cuts, it all worked out just right. Had a real fantasy feel, with a bit of eerie and a dash of silly.

For some reason i have decided to bump this.

Don't bump - go make a spring movie! (spring will never come to chicago it seems - let me live vicariously through others)

haha nice. I liked it alot. Had a really funny errie feel.

I actually laughed out loud because of the one vocal line in the whole song, it was just so random and hilarious.

The vid had alot of nice shots...nice neighborhood you live in there! I liked the three zoom in shots and shot of the screen door shutting from the wind. Nice effect. And the microwave was a nice digital contrast to the organic imagery fo the trees and whatnot

bravo! Aren't film essays fun?:)
