-TEARS - feature film

Thanks and sorry guys, our bandwith sucks! It's back up and it might go out again.
The finished site has behind the scenes, etc. I'll post some pics here if you like.

Peace!

Delicious, Blue. Nice lighting, attention to detail and production value. And a special mention for your kitchen/dining room table shot. :bath: These are usually flatter than old dishwater. My pet hate!

Well I guess one day I will get lucky to see it. I'm at work in the day, so if the site is working at that time then goes down after 5 then I will not be able to see it . It's not working now. Oh well.

great work!

great work!

inspiring....would love to get a BTS peak at your lighting techniques....thanks for the preview

this looks interesting....I really like that shot of what looks like an Asian family with that massive hotspot in the BG.

Finally saw your trailers. They look really great. Man I saw your production photos and you guys had some powerful lights. I think the smallest I saw in the photo was probally a 1000watts. But anyway let me know when the DVD is released.

I thought this was shot on a DVX? What's that big ol' camera in the production photos?
Hey I was thinking the same thing. And plus those super powerful lights in the production photos too.

Lighting doesn't look that great to me indoors. Outdoor shots look fantastic though.

I must say the trailers are lifeless. They tell me ZERO about the film and they don't intrigue me even the slightest bit. In a trailer you need a hook. Where is the hook? In addition, I think you need a voice-over to explain what the heck this film is about. The text descriptions don't cut it. those only work for epic films where the scenes tell EVERYTHING.. such as in Gladiator .. or Schindler's List... or The Piano. It doesn't work for a drama like this.

Just keeping it real here. I think your trailers need a complete makeover.

Yes, it was shot with the DVX. Originally it was supposed to be shot with the Cinealta which was the camea shown in those pics. Unfortunally that camera arrived late in the production and we already shot 90% of the film already. Oh well, maybe next time.

What was the budget on this? Looked great man.

The budget was super low. PM and I will tell you.

the lights in the photos? we actually used 1 light you saw in that whole picture. Those photos are seprate from the actually film. I didn't do the website, so i really don't know.

Mikey,

would you like me to cut a trailer just for YOU? There really isn't a rule on how to cut a trailer and so far no one seems to have a problem. I do however appreciate your comment.

peace!
