Shall i buy washed out colours of the XL2

Hi all

I have uploaded some interesting grab frames to John Hudson. which I hope he will post for me shortly. Am having problems sending the AVI using netscape. I will try again using another server

All I have to say is BUY THIS DVD!, over 3 hours of XL2 footage in all types of lighting situations. Aloha!

I have sent some Grab frames to John Hudson in the hopes that he would post them for me. As yet he hasn't. Maybe he was blown away by their high quality Would someone out there please contact me at moogoo@netscape and post these pic for me. For some reason My dvxuser interface doesn't allow me to do so.

Agghhh

They're all interlaced! Not the best examples (I'm not discounting them but progressive frames would have been much nicer)

Hang on

Thank you for all your infomation, I went today and purshased a brandnew DVX102BEN, got home and shot a few things and let me tell you I am over impressed even with the 16:9 mode

I didnt get the XL2 due to the fact I am a novice and it seems I have alot to learn before I own a camera like a XL2. I feel that the XL2 needs alot of knowledge of operation to get a nice picture. Where the DVX seems to deliver exactly what I was after at this present time.

Thank you

Wow where were these grabs when I was looking. Too late now I have the DVX. Anyway, I want to own two cameras and I will buy the XL2 at the end of the year.

Only one thing that Im dissapointed with the DVX so far is that you cant adjust the RGB colours seperately like the XL2. Correct me if Im wrong.

Anyway, I want to own two cameras and I will buy the XL2 at the end of the year. (Thats if any are left) I hear the 2 partner up quite well.

You made a great choice Hama. When you grab people's attention, it won't be due to the camera you're using.

I was the first person to respond to your post. If you had contacted me I would have emailed them to you.

I thought you said you wanted a simple camera? Well anyway it was an entertaining thread

you sort of can.

Theres the color temp and chroma phase. its sort of like barry's famous, "6 of one halfdozen of the other" quote. while its not RGB specific, its gives your Four way color control, bewteen Green and magenta with Chromaphase, and Color temp between Blue and Yellow.

Though the Chroma phase adjustment is more subtle.
