Rain+fog outdoor screen grabs

There was some terrible weather when I was trying to do some filming today. I wasn't quite white balanced properly thanks to me trying to hold an umbrella and hold the camera, and I had nothing to white balance on, so I used the fog. I used Auto Colour, then adjusted my Pedestal a bit along with the B&C. I noticed the first one is noisier, but I still like the look better afterwards.
Nothing too special.

Well, to my eye, I like all of the grabs on the left. They look the most filmlike to me. All in personal taste I guess.

I agree with the guy above, why is that? I've always felt that way about the original shots, over the CC shots.

I do like the CC'd "forest" shot better than it's original, as well as the interior car grab. What was used to color correct? Magic Bullet?

Color Checker

or

Slate

i have the slate...but i might get the color checker. white balance then shoot the slate or the color checker...so when you view the footage later you can see how off the colors are...ah but if you white balance to a warm or cold card...hmmm.

the ones on the right look much more accurate than those on the left. I like a few on the left and a few on the right. They all look pretty good though.

Here are the Grabs I like:

it's a little too overexposed and noisy. Just bring the levels down some. You'll get a look between the first pic and this one.

Now this is nice. Must have been a great day out.

Sweet!

I like this bottom pic too. Maybe if the top one was a balanced just to match this it would be nice.

You just have to make sure that your light tone matches in all the shots. You can't have really grey looking scene then cut to a bright seemingly overlit shot.
