Jarred, while I do have my own HVX, will that be a requirement for attendees? My brother-in-law, who is helping me with a project, would like to attend to the seminar. Will the event still suit him?

Do those of us who voted get first crack at seats? Only 30, huh?

I'll be bringing my camera(assuming I get in)!

Yeah, with only 30 seats available, I'll "leave" him at home. It'll just be me and my HVX. (If I get in, of course.)

yes, if you bring your own camera, your gurantee'd to be able to sit or stand there and follow what we are doing 100% of the time with your own camera.

Barry and Jarred and JAN,

Knowledge does not diminish when shared but multiplies.........

Both of you should consider TRAIN THE TRAINER sessions in co-ordination with Panasonic, so we have certified trauners who could give training classes arround.

How about the group of 30 attend the class but also make a HVX 200 driven DVD training which can be used for less fortunate living away from LA.

Please reserve my seat in advance for the LAS VEGAS CLASS......

Thanks,

And chance that this might be videotaped (I mean p2 captured) and taken to DVD for those of us in the hinterlands?

I think that after LA it should be NY. All the east coasters can congregate (Boston, DC, Miami even Chicago and Canada). LA is the movie capital of the world and NY is the Independent Film capital of the world. Two days, bring your own camera and the price Jarred is talking about is perfect. Also folks traveling to NYC can share a room to cut the price down. The New Yorker hotel is very inexpensive, located on 34th street and 8th Avenue and also just one block away from B&H (hint, hint, hint on the sponsor tip).

We were tossing around the idea of doing it around NAB-time, so those who were already out here for NAB would just stay an extra day or something, but I don't know how hotel rates would work out for something like that.

With 135000 projected attendance at NAB, I did a spot check of hotel rates Saturday & Sunday: Mandalay Bay $499/night, Caesars $389, Bally's $289, Paris-no availability, Flamingo $280.

Not an extensive research poll, but it looks like some of the 135000 are staying for a long weekend in Vegas. There may not be that many hotel deals.

I vote for another weekend say May 5-6-7 or 12-13. (May 14th is Mother's day and I value my life too much to try and swing that date).

Barry/Jarred-
Sign me up for LA. Unless you are planing a workshop in San Francisco anytime soon. Yes, I will bring my HVX.
