Here's a fast sneak peek at the matte box for the HVX [or any HD units up to 96mm]

Shown here on the DVX. Sorry, access to the HVX was limited at the time I took photos. Had to snap these quick as I'm lending out my DVX for a week

Will hold Two 4" filters [4x4, 4x5, etc]

This super sexy beast is almost ready to ship! - Will start shipping in a few weeks.
This model can also be used with the DVX with an adapter if you plan on getting an HVX in the future.

Constructed from lightweight aluminum, no support system required. Mounts to stock lens.



Features a wider box and larger French Flag


Price will be $289 complete with adapter and French Flag
[Filter stage on this model jacks the costs quit a bit]
- Side flags will be available as an option.

Shade will rotate left or right for grads

Now there is a design and price that I like, I'll be interested to see it on an HVX.

very interested. Get one to barry or jarred etc, for review and if it works decently for that price, i'm in like stink. - and so will many other DVXUSER's i think.
 
Is it also possible to use it with Rods? I like the ability to add the handlegrips and the back shoulder pad with the Rods...

Seems like a nice price and product
 
Rods *should* be ok. The shade should clear them well enough. Rods are not needed with box, but if you use a shoulder mount or follow focus you will want rods but I cant say 100%... There are a few out there. If the box won't work with your setup, there is a no questions asked return policy [hurt feelings aside :cheesy: ]

But shouldn't the price be like $1,000 or more? After all, matte boxes have all that expensive technology built in. Nasa type stuff, right?

Just kidding.

Actually, the product does look good and I applaud a company comming out with a reasonable price on a matte box instead of trying to ask an insane amount of money like so many other manufacturers.

I can't imagine why I would not buy one. :)

Is this going to be the price for the HVX too? $189.00 Any date on the HVX200 matbox?

No. This one is bigger, wider and has a larger filter stage to hold 4x4, 4x5, 4x6, etc filters
Base price for matte box and French flag will be $289
Side flags will be + $30/pair


Will start shipping approx end of month.

Ya, not great pics... The box is very wide. Have to wait for some better pics, or in your case to touch it :cheesy:
