I imagine some of you are actually familiar with this road; I've passed it a handful of times. This road is famous for being the mysterious exit in the middle of nowhere on the road to Las Vegas.

I stumbled onto this website while researching some things for our short

Man, I haven't checked out the movie yet. I will in a bit, but the topic is very funny. When I lived in CALI...I drove to VEGAS a billion times and laughed everytime I passed that road sign. This thread brought back memories...

I'm going to have to check that out after the Dodger game. I, too, have seen that road everytime I drive to Vegas.

It's more likely that this is the REAL story of Zzyzx Springs (and Zzyzx Rd):

This movie reminds me of what was done with The Last Broadcast which preceded Blair Witch.

The Last Broadcast was interesting, considering what it was, dealing with The Jersey Devil. This looks like someone trying to make a West Coast story along those kind of lines. I have never seen Blair Witch so I can't comment on it.

I've downloaded the movie ... heck for three bucks I'll try it just for the distribution novelty, plus I just got a video ipod so I need stuff to watch on it on the train, and I'm pretty much devouring all horror I can right now ... only watched the beginning to make sure it downloaded so far ... has one actor I recognize from The Shield, but the website says that, looks like it doesn't suck so far though ...

ha ... can't tell yet ... there are warning signs and signs of encouragement ... but I barely looked at it just to see if it downloaded ok, cuz I'm swamped with work.

Anyone really take a look at it yet?

Exciting distribution possibilities at anyrate.

Ive seen the road 1000 times, Ive always tried pronouncing it too, along with Ghost town, or is it Ghost City? Id like to go to either one someday.

Hmm, the myth is used as a wrapper to market the film. The film doesn't seem to really be about the myth. It almost feels like they took a script and adjusted it a bit for the Zzyzx legend.

But, good film. And this is a great way to buy and watch.
