Just received a Zylight F8 LED Fresnel, which is cool.
It's powered by AC or V-Lock batteries. It has a Switronic V-Lock already attached, but my V-Lock battery acted weird on it - would turn on then go off when I increased the light about about 20%.
I had a Hawk-Woods battery fitting that I tested - works fine with my battery, light goes to 100%.
I was going to screw that onto the back of the light therefore, but the mountings don't match up.
I've never used V-Locks before really so I have a question for anyone who has w/lighting.
Any idea why the Switronic one wasn't good? The light came with a USA plug, I'm in the UK, I had a UK plug and it works fine but is it possible the mount has issues with my battery (bought in the UK)?
Also, is this mounting thing a typical issue, I think I can just put some velcro on the mount and adapter and get it on that way no issues, but it's a new world for me so I'm wondering if I'm missing a trick.
