Zooming

How do I zoom into video in Vegas? I tried the zoom feature in the pan/crop window but that doesnt work. It seems like it's just for reference. How would I actually zoom into the video? I realize it's going to degrade the picture quality because it's SD but it's just for a trailer moment.

Use the pan-crop tool, and shrink the box (grab the handles at the edges of the frame) to shrink it so that it's showing only the zoomed-in section of the video you want. And be aware that it's keyframed, so if you change the size of the box somewhere on the timeline it'll gradually change from the fullscreen to the small zoomed-in section.
