Hello guys.
I was wondering what is the range of the zoom where we get less depth of field.
Since we cannot focus objets too close to the camera when we zoom more than 50%, i´d like to know at what stage do we get the less depth of field in order to have the ears and shoulder without focus. It is hard since the CCDs are small but i think it is still possible.
I am planing to shoot a close up of a guy. And i want to get images like this.
This is what i want, the ears without focus.
These were shot long time ago with a XL1.
However do not suppose that going to the longer focal lenght (100%) is the best way to have less depth of field on the face because perhaps i could approach him with the zoom at 67% (for example) and have the same framing but the possibility of being closer and have less depth of field.
It is some difficult for me to explain in english but i hope you understood me. Thnks
