Awesome! I was looking to upgrade my H4N to th H6 but this will fit me better as I usually only use one shotgun mic or the XY mics for atmosphere or video blogs.
I generally like the H4N but the preamps are just not loud enough for the shotgun. You’ve really got to crank it up and even that isn’t enough many times. So if this has the same preamps as the H6 which I hear is greatly improved, that would be great.
Would also love those analog knobs and it would be cool to experiment with the different modules. But I can see myself thinking that would be a nice option and then never use that option.

Same here Roxics. Do you think it has phantom power xlr? I am usually only recording 1 or maybe 2 sources at the most.
Curious to see the differences between the H5 and H6. I was one day away from buying the H6, but will wait now.

The built-in XLRs yes, but the XLR add-on does not supply phantom power.
