Zoom H4n (XLR & 1/4" inputs?)

Hey. I just got the H4n and I'm wondering if the bottom 'xlr inputs' only accept XLR-1/4 inch or can you use a XLR by removing the bottom? Thanks!

I don't have the H4n, but I think the inputs are combo XLR/1/4", meaning that you can use either one. You should just be able to plug in your XLR cables without removing anything.

No, I'm only seeing a 1/4 input into the H4n? That's why I thought something gets removed.

Those are combo inputs, that's why the 1/4" hole on the inputs has those 3 notches cut out of it (for the XLR pins).
Just plug your XLRs directly in - shouldn't be any problem.
