I need some help here.
Today I used the zoom h4ns for the first time. I have 1 in my hand and will get the second tomorrow (so I can only speak for this 1 now).
It was used in stereo mode and with its "internal" mics. I was told to press REC on to check lines (peaking) and than to press it once more to start recording. To stop it (and save the file) I pressed stop as I was told.
I rechecked some files on the spot and everything seemed fine.
The recording went all day long (sisters wedding
)...most probably nothing to important but still I know some stuff was useable..
Than when I cam home and I've put the SD card into the card reader, there are only about 20 files in FOLDER 1 in STEREO folder from 2008 (from the guy who owns the h4n). All the other folders (2-10 if I remember correctly) in STEREO folder are empty. The folders MTR and 4CH are empty.
For testing I've placed the SD card back into the h4n and recorded some short sounds. It playbacks on the zoom normally. I've turned off the zoom, turned it back on, the recording is still there. I've even took out the batteries (because durring the day I've had to change them) and the recording is still there.
When I put the SD card back to the card reader, there is no file on it... wtf is this?
I hope the other recorded did his job as it had an important one...
