I'm under the gun here and could use some help...
I'm recording talking heads using a wireless Azden 400UDR radio mic with my Zoom H4n. I've recorded four subjects so far (before installing the update) -- they all sound great.
I followed the firmware update instructions to the letter. It said 'successful'.
I'm recording in STEREO MODE
I turned OFF MONO MIX, and turned OFF 1/2/LINK.
I set input levels for INPUT 1 and INPUT 2.
When I attach the wireless to one of the INPUTS, it doesn't recognize the mic (I tried both INPUTS). The ONLY signal I get on the monitor is from the internal (2 top) mics.
For example --
I set INPUT 1 level to 75 and attach the wireless mic to it. I punch the #1 button on the Zoom -- NOTHING. I try the same thing on INPUT 2 -- NOTHING. But when I punch 'Mic' on the Zoom I get a reading from the 2 top internal mics.
What am I doing wrong?
