Hi guys,
following your suggestions I ended upi adding some audio gear to my small system. I got a Zoom H4 and one Chiniz/Oktava mic. I started some simple tests and I am amazed ..... so nice audio (compared to integrated mic on my miniDV cam
However, I connected the Mic to the XLR line into the H4 using the +48phantom power ON. At the same time I hear/test the audio through the headphone plugged into the H4 and talk to the mic (far) to hear some
I read that this mic is very sensible and would pick everything but I actually had to switch the mic gain level on the H4 in order to hear some level of sound (around -20 db on the LCD display). Is this normal ?
Is it normal to use the H4 mic gain in order to hear some ? Or maybe I need to be really close to the mic when talking ?
I am testing being 0.5 to 2 meters away from the capsel.
THX
Cheers
