Zoom H2 question

I got a Zoom H2 and it works great, but one problem. When I plug an external mic into I can't hear left and right audio at the same time, just left audio. Anyone know how I can fix this to where I can hear both sides of the speaker of left and right?
 
The mic jack on the H2 is a stereo jack. I assume you're using a mono mic, with a mono plug. This is why you're only hearing audio on one channel.

You can purchase a 1/8" mono-to-stereo adapter -- the male end will be a stereo plug, the female end will be a mono jack. This should enable you to get audio on both channels via your mono mic.
