Zombie Banner Breaks Search

Chris Messineo · Jul 21, 2005

FYI

I don't know if this was posted already, but the Zombie Banner (which is very cool) breaks the search function on the main page.

I noticed that last night as well, but I figured it was just my computer.

Terry_Lasater · Jul 21, 2005

I thought it was my browser (Safari).

Chris Messineo · Jul 21, 2005

It is because of the Flash, I believe. DHTML (which is how the search works) will not display in front of flash.

Yah, I noticed it too, but haven't emailed Jarred. As a workaround, you can right-click --open in another tab or window depending on your browser.

TC · Jul 21, 2005

That's what I've been doing.

What's weird is that Jarred has had Flash stuff up there before, and it's never done that.

I thought it was my computer. I tried to do several searches and finally gave up too stupid to realize what was causing it.

Hahaha.. Just like old times, an inoperative search function. Welcome back DVXuser 1.0.

Now the people who are new to the board actually have an excuse for not searching!

Barry_S · Jul 22, 2005

Since when did anyone worry about an excuse.
