Zoe Zoom control arrived...

My Zoe DVX came yesterday and I immediately attached it to my DVRig Pro. The control is reallly nice so far in my first few tests. The cool thing is you can adjust the speed of the zoom before you actually perform the zoom! Which means when you press the lever to zoom it bypasses that little "hesitation hump" that we all know about! It just does a nice zoom from start to finish. Being able to press record from the controller is also nice!

Great! But one question still. What protection is there against accidentally stopping the recording by fat thumbing the record/stop button? Is it a stiff switch? Is it sufficiently distant from your thumb? Do you need to be cautious?

Well its right above the zoom lever and you do have to press it pretty good to activate it. I am not saying you need to put a whole lot of pressure on the button though. Just saying that I don't think it is something that starts recording if you barely touch it.

I was more worried about accidentally stopping the recording, but if it's stiff enough, it shouldn't be a concern.
