how much (maximum) should a zeppelin/shock mount combo weigh?? for instance, what would be excessive? I'm sure it ain't much because obviously less is better. Does anyone have an actual number of ounces?

I can't really get a good idea since B&H (surprisingly) has little info on actual weight of these items.
does anyone know?

And your boom op - this is why they say drummers make great boom ops - strong arms. And, I suppose, it also depends on how many beers you're willing to buy your boom op at the end of the night. :-)

who are they - except me i never heard anyone else state it :-)
beer - they get paid so why to bother
about weight , it depends on the mic weight and weight of the zep and if you put fur or not , multiply it by length of the boom and you have the moment .
so if you take schoeps with small zeppeline it would be same as 816 with quarter of the boom pole .
and as i stated in the 12 hour its much much heavy
