Zeiss Supreme Primes vs Arri Signature Primes

I've only shot some basic tests with each set. But the take homes for me were mostly:

- I really love the elliptical bokeh on the Supreme's (out towards the edges of the frame)
- The Supreme's are much nicer size to work with (they're pretty normal size-wise, where the Signature's are HUGE)
- The Signature's are actually a very moderate weight (given their large size), so that's not a deal-breaker with them.
- The rear elements of the Signature's are basically flush with the rear of the lens - so I imagine they're going to acquire a lot more scratches and scuffs on the rear element over time (they really are stressfully exposed).
- The Supreme's do have a bit of CA (particularly wide-open), where the Signatures are extremely well controlled. If I were going to be shooting a lot of backlit-water or extreme contrast things, the Arris would be a sensibler choice.
- PL mount is a MUCH more universal mount, and much easier to match with a wide range of questions - getting LPL mounts on anything other than Arri cameras with "LF" in their names, is going to be something of a chore. It could also limit the number of external rentals you could get from the glass (if you mean to rent them out at all).

Both are lovely, modern glass, with very minimal aberrations, so optically you can't really go too far wrong with either.
