Zeiss CP.2 Super Speeds ... Have you tried it? What do you think?

I was looking for any professional feedback about this new 3 lens from Zeiss (PL mount).
Im looking for a serious package future proof, 2 questions come to my mind actually..

The first one, i know Zeiss is about to release new lens to fit the need of the next generation highres camera.
Second, i know it has been discussed few times already but i would like to have feedback about how they compare to the much cheaper rokinon or SLR magic lens?
Im open to do few concessions considering my actual need but as i said im also looking for something i could be satisfied for years and years...

Thanks for your advice and feedback.

So no one here to share his experience ?
I heard the CP super speed offer the same look as the classic Cp2, excepted for the 35mm which has a more modern new design but somone also told me they were actually much better for chromatic aberation and giving a llook which was more cinematic for him ("less sharp, but smoother and creamy")...

Not sure what i have to believe myself here...

My opinion take it or leave it.... Before I spent over $15K for just 3 lenses, I would rent them first and find out first hand if they were really what I needed.

You are totally right.

It's just for now, it's not a possible option for me and i have only a limited time to decide if i get this second hand package or not.

The Super Speed is *exactly* the same lens as the original CP1.

The CP1 50mm and 85mm opened up to T1.5, and had noticeable chromatic aberration and softening at that iris.

In the CP2, they artificially limited the iris to T2.1. They claimed it was to "standardize the iris" among the "core set", so the 28, 35, 50, and 85 all had a maximum iris of T2.1. But optically the CP2's are identical to the CP1's, just with an artificially limited iris on the 50 & 85.

In the CP2 "super speed" series, they used the exact same glass (for the 50 & 85) and just removed the artificial limit. So they once again open to T1.5. With the exact same optical performance as before. But, they now have a "super speed" label on the side.

The 35mm super speed is a different design from the CP1/CP2 35mm and is indeed a stop faster than before.

EDIT: the only substantial difference between the CP2 and the CP1 is that on the CP2, they introduced the interchangeable mount system. The original Compact Primes (CP1) are PL-mount. The CP2's are interchangeable mount. But they're the same glass.

Thanks Barry for your confirmation.
Greatly appreciated.
