Zacuto EVF Rod Mount Versatility

I'm thinking of getting this for my ZEVF because i'm sick of my Noga arm that sometimes becomes loose...but i'm wondering about the versatility of it. To the people that have it...how is it compared to a noga arm in terms of the positions it can be put in? Do u miss you noga arm in that respect? This is expensive to me for an arm...but i need something that will lock and not get loose in the middle of a frickin take.

A cheaper solution can be to make your noga into a quick release by attaching a spud.

thanks Bgundo....but my loosening issue is where the noga attaches to the rod. I have a rod mount with a 1/4 20 female ...and the noga screws into that. That part becomes loose sometimes(not the rod mount but the noga). I need something like the Zacuto rod mount thats more robust.

Ah ok. I can still recommend getting a ZUD put on your noga. Replacing anything that require fastening with a thread is going to wear over time. So replacing with quick releases will extend the life of these parts.
