z5u vs z7u for documentary

Before I begin asking specific questions I just want to say I'm obligated to use tape for a series of upcoming projects due to an employer's skepticism... With that being said, what are the differences between these two cameras OTHER than solid state recording, which you can opt for anyway with the attachment for the z5u. I'm aware of no minimum lux difference, image sensor, compression method (HDV 4:2:0 25Mbps). The interchangeable lens doesn't impress me. We're shooting in a variety of locations with minimally controlled lighting, so the sensitivity, bitrate and tapeless workflow leave my own expensive HVX200a out of the equation.

As Vonnegut would say, so it goes.

The doc is 24p run-and-gun low light-to-1/64 ND sunlight with Senn k6 and rode mic so a cam that has high sensitivity and good audio control is a must.

My budget puts me in the HDV range (since I cannot afford DVCPROHD tape and it must be hd), and 24p (not 24f) is a necessity. If you can comment on either the advantages of one of these camera's over the other, or add your own outside input, please do so. Thanks.

The only other major difference is the lack of on-board microphone on the Z7. The Z5 does have a stereo on-board mic, and therefore is the better camera in my ends. Although the Z7's lens does have a removable Zeiss lens, so you can add different lenses.
