youtube star Michelle Phan gets 100 million dollar investment in her company

i gotta admit i was a bit jealous before i clicked on the link. then the video started playing and this exchange happened:

interviewer: what was the last thing you bought online?
phan: the telescope
interviewer: what was that for?

at that point i closed the video, got out of my chair, walked over to the wall, and bashed my head into it repeatedly.

Lol. Yes, she could have been using it to beat her siblings with, or maybe she needed something to prop up her ironing board.

I became aware of Michelle Phan early on because I was fascinated with youtube stars, those rare people that managed to actually make a living off of youtube. I had no idea she would turn into a multi million dollar corporation.

I also know who PediePie is and how he became a youtube sensation which is quite the interesting story. it has to do with the fact that he is Swedish, but speaks English, and how youtube calculated popularity to promote videos to the top of the heap.
