your worst fears

In honor of this discussion , here's my pitch for a horror movie (i think it will scare most people who have posted in this thread):

A man, dressed as a clown, but who is really a mute/mime like carnie midget attacks someone's family and friends when no one is around with a lot of spiders and snakes. He tortures these people, like making them stand on chairs and convincing them that they are going to make a bad movie or that their lives will be wasted. Then our hero comes home but the clown/mime/carnie/midget/snake and spider wrangler attacks him and throws him off a balcony after stapling a playgirl to his hands.

Oooh, and Pookie laughs as you fall

As an undergraduate I spent a year in India. The windows in my room had bars, but no glass. One evening I was sitting on my bed reading. I looked over and on the wall was a greenish spider at least the size of my hand. I throw my sandal at it and it skittered away. Never got it. My greatest was to wake up and see that spider next to me.

You definetely have more guts than I do, I would of been on the plane after seeing a spider like that on the wall.

I wish I hadn't watched that spider clip... I was totally NOT afraid of spiders and now I'm 100% freaked out. That was horrific on a grand scale. The really uncomfortable thought is that spider could hold himself on the wall, hold up a frog that weighs at least an ounce or two, and concentrate on chewing it's head off... all at the same time. I'm sure there are some shocking medical photos of people who rolled over on a spider like that in their sleep.

BTW sleep well tonight.

Hey the really cool thing about this thread is how many things I've got in common with a lot of you guys.

man! burrrrrrr.. spiders what a clip... i was in Maui wrangling on mendez ranch they put me up in this shack i'm sleeping on the floor i wake up in the middle of the nite i had a cane spider the size of my hand on my face i freaked i threw my boot at it it didn't faze him i spent all nite trying to kill that spider.... finally..... i didn't sleep all nite......but my biggest fear is dying a nobody...

Spiders? Unpleasant, but not a big deal.

Love flying, love little girls with long hair, love heights... not so much the thought of falling, though... I guess I am a freak.

Talking about my worst fears would probably qualify this thread as political (SURPRISE!), so I'll just say it has something to do with where humanity is headed...

i was in the pool one time swimming like a happy minnow. next thing i know there's a huge water spider on my neck- just as i brushed him off he bit me. i think thats where most of my spider fear comes from.

also- this one time i was frollicking in the cornfields, and i ran right into a garden spider's web- i saw the spider in the web as i ran into it face first- the worst was not knowing where on my body it was.

in the car- my friend was driving- this was when i was about 16. there was a huge wolf spider walking on the roof of the car- i told them to stop the car, they slowed to about 20 mph and i bailed out the passenger door.

as a wee little boy i was playing with my ninja turtles- i picked up splinter, and there was this huge ass flourescent green/black spider on him. i remember punishing the spider by drowning him in my spit.

hey Luis    hahahah i can't stop laughing moe larry moe larry i can just picture me doing that!hahahahahahah......

Kids. It would cut into my drinking for a few weeks (Well, at least until the adoption process is done). Kidding, lol.

I'm mostly afraid of my dad dying. He's the shizznit.

I totally feel the spider thing... A couple years ago I was bitten by a brown recluse. That was without a doubt, the most intense full-body pain I have ever experienced - and pain is not something I ever have a problem with (I've broken several bones and not realized for days). But I thought for sure I was going to die from that darn spider!

I also feel where Horse is coming from about not being there to help if family or friends were in trouble. That probably comes even before spiders. I spend hours upon hours in Gold's Gym preparing myself for whenever something like that might happen ;-)

It's a crazy world man... you never know. Odd that we feel the need to be responsible for the well-being of everyone around us, no? Good to know there are other willing vigilantes out there.
