Your thoughts on camera cage handles?

What are your thoughts and experiences on the various cage handles available?

I am considering the metal ones, like the following;

Is it better to have fingers slots on them or are they inconvenient in use?

Do the metal handles become slippery when in use?

How secure are the nato versions? Would they hold a fully loaded camera rig? Are they solid in connection?

What is a good size where one would possibly attach only a monitor to the front shoe mount, 120cms, 130cms, 140cms?

Which handles do you think would be best for comfort, security, stability and portability?

I have small hands.

On my F55 I run a Berkey System Versa Handle NATO mount, secured on a NATO rail on their top cheese plate bolted into the top of the camera. Rigged out with a 17-120, wireless, etc. it’s easily 30lbs.

I wrap all of my handles in low profile racket grip tape.

I can add a +1 for the Berkey Versahandle. It is pricier than many, but it's worth every penny. So much more solid and reassuring than anything else I've come across. I keep moving mine from camera to camera. Having the three 15mm clamps built-into the handle directly, means I can generally mount all of my accessories directly to it (EVF, Monitor and Wireless Transmitter).

The only thing the Versahandle is missing, is Arri locating-pins for a few of the 3/8" holes. If it had that, it would be literally perfect (as far as I'm concerned).
