Re: Your Influences?

I think the DVX user Jared is my influence. Look at his camera, he's the coolest. Kai is a close second though.

Re: Your Influences?

My favorite genres are sci-fi and mystery. Spielberg would have to be my favorite. If I can one day be anything like him and just tell good stories for the world to watch I'll be a very, very happy person ;D

Re: Your Influences?

Orson Welles. I've loved everything he's done EXCEPT Citizen Kane!

Ridley Scott. Bladerunner, baby.

Luc Besson. Fifth Element, The Transporter. (Hey, I know it isn't a good movie, but I really like it anyway!)

George Lucas, but only up to 'The Empire Strikes Back.' Everything he's done since then has been schlock.

Hitchcock. Of course.

What seems to be common about all these directors is that they were considered rebels when they did their best work. I think it is especially significant that Welles and Hitch both were SO talented, SO powerful in their storytelling capabilities, and so personally quirky that Hollywood dissed them both all their lives.

These are the people that I'd like to have the talent/discipline/vision to copy.
