Hi everyone,

I'm doing some research into classic public domain texts which would translate well into screenplay format. Shakespeare, the Grimm brothers, Edgar Allen Poe and Oscar Wilde's works spring to mind. These seem to be the most common ones. Does anyone have any personal favourites that you would recommend that would make for potentially good adaptation material?

Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray. Of course, the fact that it's so great means that it has been repeatedly adapted for the screen, already.
