Howdy,

my favorites are
the "Dollars" trilogy(A fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly)
Once Upon a Time in the West(the greatest 15 min opening sequence in movie history)
Unforgiven.

But if I have to pick one, it will be "For a Few Dollars More"

What is your favorite western?

Re: your favorite Western!

Those are some very solid pics. I think my favorite western of all-time would have to be your AVATAR. :D

Or

Tombstone
The Magnificent Seven
Westworld

Re: your favorite Western!

Kind of difficult to concentrate with the pretty girl lifting her shirt... very hypnotic...

but as for favorite westerns...

Unforgiven

Re: your favorite Western!

my favourite classic is "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly"...but Unforgiven is just damn good, too.

Re: your favorite Western!

Must stop staring at the avatar...

--High Noon
--The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly  (anyone have the new DVD version?)
--The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
--Unforgiven

I love these films because, they work on many different levels, they don't pander to the audience, and are completely original.  And while Westerns have a reputation for being simple and formulaic--these are rich and complex.

Re: your favorite Western!

Tombstone and The Quick and the Dead(at least, on an artistic level w/Raimi coolness, and starring a pre-Hollywood ego Russell Crowe)

Re: your favorite Western!

McCabe and Mrs. Miller totally slipped my mind. Great movie.

And Treasure of the Sierra Madre is one of my top ten favorite movies of any genre (though for some reason I think of it less as a western than a drama/adventure).

Re: your favorite Western!

Hey what about the Terence Hill and Bud Spencer's ones?

Did you guys watched "They call me Trinity", "Trinity is still my name", "My name is nobody"

Those were really great westerns!!! Very funny!!!

All the best

Fidel.

Re: your favorite Western!

I haven't seen too many westerns, but i'd have to saw my favorite is The Quick and the Dead. I've taken some **** for that, but i really enjoy it

Re: your favorite Western!

Outlaw Josey Wales...any of the Eastwood westerns..take your pick. Don't know if this one qualifies as a true western, Jeramiah Johnson I thought was a good one. Also another along those lines , i can't remember the title, but it had Lee Marvin and Charles Bronson in it. Marvin is a Canadian Mounty chasing down Bronson the renegade. ..anway loved it too. Whatever it's title is.

Yes, it's a Must... Lots of extras and it is the full movie without any cut scenes.
