I did an experimantal film called "Waiting" where I captured people waiting for the light rail in Salt Lake City. I then got my friends to do voice-overs I wrote and stuck it in with the images. It's about 5 min and I like the way it turned out. If you want you may be able to view it at www.newdogmaproductions.com. I say "may" because my brother-in-law did the wedsite in flash and it has... issues (it was his first one).:undecided
But don't let that stop you. Just go to the "projects" (brain) icon and click "Waiting".
It takes a bit to load and no way to tell you, so just be patient!
Just wondering. I did an Amazing Race application video for someone, too, but kept it very low-tech, because I didn't want to make it look terribly professional. Just wondering what a successful video might have looked like.
They didn't make it. Maybe it was the "pro-looking" video, I don't know. I tried to make it look good without going over the top. Basically, I didn't want the production value to distract from the family, whether good or bad.
On a side note- it was a good thing they didn't go, Mrs. Johnson fell very ill not long after the video was made and nealy died. Fate perhaps.
I just finished post on a 35 minute film. Cost me about $50 including tapes.
It is nice to have cool talented friends. If you shoot it they will come.....
I am screening it at a theatre next month......yes, one major goal to check off my dream list...
Whoop!
I shot a commercial, on film, for the total out of pocket cost of $36! That was the cost with processing of 3 rolls of Ektachrome 160A Super 8 film. Got a free day in a Umatic S/P suite because the Editor owed us a favor. The client loved it. Also had an original soundtrack from a muscian friend. Made a killing on it!
Sorry dude. I have a weird sense of humor....and a lot of gay friends...and it was a stressful day at work...no offense but the word fag just bugs me sometimes....I am just jealous because I don't look half as cool with my evs mug and puffy coat....
