Young,dvx, nothing to do....

I am young and would like some opinions on how you guys got started in the video/film industry. Right now I have a dvx, but feel that I am and look to young to be taken seriously, although I know my stuff. I have been soaking up information on forums like these for over 2 years and have become quite knowledgeable about everything video,hd, etc.. I just want work with video and hd, but don't know where to go.

Put together a reel that you can show people, start volunteering on local productions. If you're good, there's going to be people who will want to work with you again and that leads to paying jobs.

I started by doing Raves and concert events for free, after about 6 months I started getting noticed by a ton of different companies. I still work a 9-5 (well 4-1230am) But the way it looks as of right now within a year I should be able to quit my job and just film full time. As I am now bringing in 250-1200 extra a month for doing what I love. Think positive and positive things will happin.

That shouldn't stop ya from anything. I made countdown when i was sixteen last year, and I'm doing corporate jobs now.
