as you know the weather has been whack for the east coast, it was literally 70 degrees last week in DC...then a huge cold front settles in suddenly, which is perfect weather for tornados...

o ****...I nearly pissed my pants, I'll upload a clip soon

Woah? Where was that? I didn't watch the news the past few days, so could have missed this. Did you try to submit it to any of the news stations around here?

Did it sound like a "freight train" ??  Or did the tornado sound like an evil laugh, "Wuuuh haaaa haaaa! Wuuuuh haaaa haaaaa!" ;D

You lived to tell the story so I think it's ok to joke about it. But that is wild! Check out that spooky lighting. Did you take the time to setup some spots and screen gels?   That is really scary looking. What were you thinking taking the DVX out in that kind of weather??!!

Please post a video soon (don't forget to make a small version for dial-up people).

hehe, I can just imagine that tornado chasing you down the street :D

glad you and your camera are still with us...especially if it captured some sweet footage ;)

cool a 24p tornado. It should be a great break from the normal grainy, overexposed, out of focus stuff you usually see in these situations.

I haven't heard from Fred in a while. However, we were in talks about doing some storm-chasing this coming Spring in Oklahoma and Kansas.

I had the wierdest dream, first somebody gave me a lavish gift, then it started raining outside, and I looked out, and there was a tornado! So i ran around the house looking for a camera, and I realized all I had was my Canon zr60, but I kept looking for a DVX for some reason...

The tornado at this point was getting closer and closer, I then got a call, about something, and when I was finished talking the whole roof of the damn house came off and I woke up...


Wierd, I read this thread last night too...

Young, you've got me wondering if that is real or if it's a test from your interest in learning XSI and AE. If it is a comp it stands up very well as a still, and i'd like to see it moving. If it's real then you are crazy, i don't think i'd go storm chasing ever!!

oh man, Im so hyped on this clip. I went storm chasing once in the back of a picup truck, and Im never doing it again
