If you make hundreds of films and jump-start the careers of dozens of Hollywood luminaries.

That is great. Roger Corman, is, I am sure a hero to many on this board, including myself. Way to go. I am also glad to see that they are recognizing Godon Willis, wow, not that is about time also. I dig Lauren Bacall and am glad she is getting one.

Lauren Bacall is a goddess. And she can still kick my ass.

I remember Galaxy of Terror. It was so...interesting.
Cool article. Corman seems like a really down to earth guy.

Yeah, but the sad thing is he won't be awarded it on Oscar night. He will receive it at a "luncheon". Sad. But hey, let's, by all means, add 5 more Best Picture nominee slots for crappy movies.
Talk about a slap to the face. He deserves to receive it on stage, like every other recipient. Hell, they should make a big deal out of it. Everyone that he helped should make sure of it.

Yeah, it would be pretty cool if Coppola, Scorsese, Shatner, Nicholson, et al went to AMPAS and said "Hey, we wanna pay tribute to this guy"
