After all readings of how good vegas was i decided to buy it (Vegas + DVD) and i really start to like it.

It has everything i need for now. (AC3 5.1, Look suite and all the other good stuff)

The only thing I wonder, is there a good way of trimming a clip after it been put on the timeline. So you put it in then adapt the cutting points?

It worked in back in the old Studio 7 days ;) (years ago, with another cam)

You can do it several ways.

You can find the cut point with the cursor, then then press "S" -- it will split the clip at that point, and you can delete what you don't want.

Or you can drag the end of the clip with your mouse, and hold CTRL while doing it for more pecision.

Or, what's probably the best way to adjust the length of a clip, you go to your numeric keypad and press 9 to select the right side of the clip or 7 to select the left side of the clip. Then, you can use 4 to move the edge of the clip to the left by a number of frames dependent on your temporal view (because you're moving the edge one pixel length), or 1 to move the edge to the left frame-by-frame. You can move the edge to the right the same way by using 6 (more than one frame) or 3 (frame-by-frame).

Also, if you like the length of the clip, but decide you wanted to use a slightly different part of it, you can hold down the ALT key and use your mouse to drag inside the clip -- you can then move the content of the clip without moving the clip itself.
