You know you're obsessed with video when...

or when you begin to critique films in a theater to your friend that could really give less of a ****, and just want you to shut up

even my film friends get irritated with me when I do it, which I can understand, but when they drag me to stupid movies like four brothers, thats what they get.

Or when you watch a program on TV and say..."God the cameraman is ****!"

...and everyone else is like "what, why?"

"Idiots! Look at the exposure! Didn't you see the dodgy focus just then!"

i had an argument with my g/f about luguna beach not being a documentary reality show. She really believes it was filmed in-the-moment documentary style, Im just curious how she survives being dumb and blind

i love my g/f by the wya, in case you couldnt tell, lol

You know you are obsessed with video when you are watching the terrible events in Gaza and pay more attention to the PD-150s and DVXs use by the crews shooting the events.

You really know you are obsessed with video when it takes you 8 hours to watch a 2 hour movie, and you wear out your DVD player in a few months with all the rewwinding, pausing, and frame by frame playback to figure out "How in the hell did they do that?".

when you're watching the dew action sports tour on tv and get more excited seeing a dvx in a panasonic commercial than your favorite rider's best run.

You know you're obsessed with video when you're watching a 35mm film and for a split second you wonder how they got the video to look so good...and then it dawns on you...they must have the anamorphic adapter...duh...

You know you're obsessed with video when you're driving down the street and you say, Hey look at that shot, it's so clear, good screen grab...and you realize it's your eyes...

you know your obsessed with video when you go to the movie theater alone with a pen and paper to take notes (i swear this wasent me, my old fims teacher admited to us that he "used" to do it, but he swears not anymore)

..when you get the "Sin City" DVD and get annoyed because it has only ten minutes of behind the scenes footage and virtually no technical info on the making of!

Then you get pissed when I tell you that the special edition, which is coming out in December will have TONS more good stuff.

Then you have to buy another copy.

haha, hey, them people are very smart, sell the DVD, make everyone buy it, wait a little while, then put out the "Special Edition", BAM!! twice the profit!

Or when you go crazy to rent or buy an awkward movie only because it has an interview with the DP or 30 seconds talking about color correction.

you know you're obsessed with videos when you visit DVXuser.com morning, day, and night. There really should be a support group for some of us. This can't be healthy.

You know you're obsessed with video when you have your camera insured but no health insurance for yourself.

You know you're obsessed with video when you find yourself paying way more attention to the lighting of a porn than anything else (or so I'm told by a video-obsessed porn-watching friend).

haha, dustino, I have a friend in a film school who is exactly the same way as your friend. Obsessed with porn video, and he will show me videos and go over editing technique.....it's very amusing.

you know your obsessed with video when you spend the remaining amount of your paycheck every week on DVD's and movie theater even though your late on rent/gas/electric/cable/interenet......
