What do you think of my decision?

I'm at B&H yesterday .. pickin up some this and that. I needed a new head for a pair of low shooting sticks, and was torn b/t the bogen 501 and the 503. Price difference .. about $100.

I struggled with the decision for about 3 minutes ... True fluid, or decent head?

I decided to go with the 501, which saved me about $100.

Then last night I go out with this smoking blonde and drop ... yep, about $85 on food drinks, etc. I got home around 4 am, looked at the 501 and asked myself the difficult question:

Was spending the $100 on the serious hottie a better use of cash than getting the 503?

I slept well, and feel good about the decision. What do you think?

I just posted about this, and I think the 501 will definetly suffice for us with a budget.

I've spent the past week on this decision - I'm goin for the 501. I'll need the extra $100 for other junk like zoom controlers and a jib.

John -- We are of the same ilk! An $85 investment on dinner and drinks today will reap rewards well beyond a one night stand!!!

And dude .. she's friggin HoTTT!!

Oh, and yeah, the head rocks. I have 2 others that I use, both 501's -- one on a crane and one or a regular set of sticks. Gets the job done well.
