I just shot my feature on dvx and because its no budget movie I cant afford an editor.

I have Vegas 4.0 sitting on my laptop but never edited anything myslef and...english is not my first language so was kind of afraid to start editing feature ....

After few days of asking questions here, and weeks of crashing my computer .... finally.....
I STARTED EDITING MYSLEF 8)

AND I LOVE IT 8)

I can do it!!! Great feeling and such a joy! Thanks guys.

Re: You CAN do it.

John, I will show what I have when I am done.
Right now I got to learn how to do subtiles and when I got my rough cut I will have to find out how to: 1) level the audio in the clips (some are louder than other) and 2) how to take the best audio level (I was shooting with mic in XLR 2 so the recorded audio is split into 2 channels just in case my actors were screeming ... safety stuff - but now I got to learn how actually PICK ONE of those audio levels I can see on the MIXER in VEGAS>

Maybe you know the answers?
Thanks, Voyek

Re: You CAN do it.

1) Right-click on the audio clip; select "switches," then "normalize."

2) Volume envelope. Right-click on the track and choose one.

3) Right-click on the audio clip and choose "left only" or "right only."
