Hello my friends,
After intense research and dozens of post around the net I have purchased VV4, Soundforge, Acid Pro and a new DVX100, tripod, uv filter, battery and camera bag. I now need a mic. I know the Senn ME-66 is great, but has anyone heard about the new Sanken CS-1. What about boom poles? I am also considering the M-audio firewire 410 external soundcard.
I promise in few months I'll be able to answer some of these posts, instead of just asking questions.

sanken makes some killer mics, never heard the CS1 though. As for boom poles Cavision makes some really sweet carbon poles that are super light.

Way to go Dave! For a great shotgun mic check out Audio Technica. I used one on a feature recently and it sounded better than the Sennheiser's we used on other days.

Don't forget to check out Audio Technica's AT-4073a for about $529. It is killer quiet. I think around 14dB self noise. That will be my next mic purchase.

I have a pair of 4033s studio mics whose specs are nearlly, if not identical. They are awesome.
