Yodel Marketing & Advertising

I got a call from a rep over at Yodel about buying into a program with them. I've got a phone call set up with them at the end of the week to discuss their platform and packages.

Has anyone bought into it to have clients sent over to them? I'm in a small market, so I'm not sure how much business they would send over...but I'd be happy to take on an extra product or two each month (depending on Yodel's terms).

Do they have guys in lederhosen(or maybe Dirndl clad women... with 4 biersteins in each hand...) who do the slap dance/spoon rhythm acts, along with Yodelling?

I had to... the devil made me do it...

Sounds like its the same guys David. I read some bad & some good stuff about them online. Figured most folks who would take the time to write a yelp review were folks who had a bad experience...but with so many bad yelp reviews it's hard to ignore.

No idea what these guys charge, it's too bad I can't get a month trial where I only pay if their lead comes through.

our biz does not seem to do well with that type of advertising, in my experience. i had an ad on videographies for SIX MONTHS cause they were offering a special for $38 or so for that entire amount of time. how could i pass it up? got not one gig. leads? yes, but like many folk, they were driven away by my "high" (i.e completely reasonable for our industry and market) prices. unfortunately i get most of my shooting work via profiles/ads (free) on various sites, and probably 2/3 or more are people shocked by what i charge. WE do better with word of mouth and networking type "promotion". which i suck at and which is why i dont shoot super often.

Oh man, videographies...I used to get their emails and it seemed that 90% of their leads in Houston are "Need videoperson to tape my daughters 1st birthday" with budgets of $50.

yes, but i think thats a consumer problem rather than their site. productionhub seems to be the exception, seem to get fair amount of legit leads through there. thats with the free profile.
