Yikes: DV Tape out the YING-YANG !!

I've got well over 100 dv tapes that I'd like to have captured to external hard drive. I've looked online for services but all I've found are ones that just burn DVD's.

Anyone know of a service that will capture straight to hard drive, just as I would myself in my NLE or other capture software? I don't have a dv camera anymore.

Thanks in Advance!

Donnie

I would do the same , I have some dv camera and DVD Records, , you are able to pick up good secondhand equipment on Ebay and a bargain price.

Over 100 tapes means over 100 hours of capture + approx 1.5 TB of hard drive. Capturing is rather straightforward, but the devil is in the organizing, filing, backup, and labeling.

At Colorburst, we do this all the time. The published price is $30 per tape, but I'm sure we could improve that for 100 tapes or more. If you'd like, contact me to discuss details at
