Most of my editing is done on my PC, using Vegas Pro. My laptop however is a MacBook Pro with the Adobe suite (I can't stand Final Cut). Recently I needed to get the edit from Vegas to my mac to show a client. I was able to export an .aaf EDL from Vegas, open that in AE on my PC, Save the AE file and transfer that with the footage to my Mac. I opened the file in AE on the Mac and then was able to send the edit into Premiere to make changes on the fly for the client. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes =)
