Hi guys,

So hears my deal. I shot an indian music video a few weeks ago and I'm finishing up my rough cut, however, I'm looking at the footage from one of the locations and the video is a little jittery. It SHOULD be in 24pN, and I'm pretty sure it is, however I can't understand why only one locations footage has the jitters. I'm using a 2-3-2 pulldown, on a 24p timeline. Anyway, here is a link to the footage, with the 2 different locations cut in together. The indoor location is the one with the jitters as you will see. What do you folks think I can do to remedy this problem.?

It didn't look terribly jittery to me.

However, the places where it might have been a little bit are places where you have some quick camera motion, and that's going to produce a little strobe in 24p, simply due to it being a slower framerate.

To remedy the problem, move your camera more slowly. As for remedying it in Vegas, it's probably not possible. The footage is as it is.

After looking at it, I'd agree with David. One thing you might do if you can't reshoot, is to muck it up more, and make it look intentional, by setting the playback sampling to .500 or so. This will give it a stuck shutter look, and help make it look intentional vs accidental.
Then again, I'm a big fan of "if it accidentally looks bad, make it look worse" ala "I meant to do that" sort of thing.

Just weird, from my point of view. Most folks probably won't realize what it even is.

see, the thing I dont understand is, that even though there is more movement at the other location, only that one set of shots from the first location has that jitter, and only from one of the cameras. Is it possible that that camera was set to 24pA?

If you edited in a 24p timeline, it shouldn't matter. Once the pulldown is removed, 24p and 24pA are identical on the timeline.
