Yet another boom mic question

Sorry for the redundancy. I have been using an ME-66 for indoor dialogue in short films. The sound is fine, but the directional characteristics sometimes make it tough to get good sound from both parties. I originally bought it for some noisy outdoor shoots.

What boom mic can I get specifically for shorts and features that will allow easier management of the boom pole? i.e. not so directional. Assume that the rooms will be carpeted and have some sound absorption.

10s-is cardiod better than a hyper? Someone here recommended (or insisted, can't remember who it was...) that for interior dialogue, go with a hyper.

Thanks!

Floridaracer,

You can pick up an ME64 capsule that will work with the K6 power supply that currently powers your ME66 capsule. The ME64 is the cardioid capsule from the K6 family of Sennheiser electret modular mics. This should help in getting more of the ambient (surrounding) noises that you are looking for.

Regards,
Kelly
